Pour l’année 2019, afin d’encourager les échanges nationaux et internationaux, l’Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA) accueillera des chercheurs/euses dans le cadre de ses domaines et de ses programmes, pour une durée comprise entre 1 et 3 mois. La priorité sera accordée aux chercheurs/euses confirmés/ées, qu’ils/elles soient affiliés/ées à un établissement ou indépendants.

Les chercheurs/euses intéressés/ées doivent prendre contact avec la direction du département (der-dir @ inha.fr (der-dir @ inha.fr)) et/ou le/la conseiller/ère scientifique en charge du domaine de recherche pertinent pour leurs recherches (cf liste) et/ou avec la direction de la bibliothèque (info-bibliotheque @ inha.fr (info-bibliotheque @ inha.fr)) et parallèlement télécharger leur candidature, via le formulaire indiqué sur la page web.

Procédures d’attribution

Les propositions seront examinées par le directeur général de l'Institut, la directrice de la bibliothèque, la directrice et les conseillers scientifiques du département des études et de la recherche. Le critère de sélection principal est l'excellence du projet, mais seront également pris en compte, sans exclusive, les éléments suivants : l’expertise apportée aux programmes de l'INHA, la possibilité de collaborations avec les chercheurs de l'INHA, la valorisation des archives et des ressources primaires de la bibliothèque, la contribution scientifique à un des huit domaines de recherche.

L’INHA prendra en charge les frais de voyage et d’hébergement du/de la chercheur/euse (à hauteur de 1300 € par mois) et mettra à sa disposition un poste de travail, une place réservée à la bibliothèque et l'accès aux ressources informatiques et documentaires offertes par le service de la documentation.

Composition du dossier de candidature

• un curriculum vitae avec la liste des publications déjà parues (ou confirmées par l'éditeur)
• un projet de recherche qui précisera son articulation au domaine concerné
• une lettre de motivation

Les résultats seront annoncés à partir du 9 juillet 2018.

Call for applications

The Institut national d'histoire de l'art (INHA) in Paris is a public research institute and a public research library specifically dedicated to art history. The Invited scholar program of the INHA aims to promote national and international exchanges, especially in its fields ("Domaines") and programs. The Department of Studies and Research is organized in eight fields covering Art History chronologically and thematically. Circa 20 research programs will be running during the academic year 2018-2019, with topics ranging from Ancient to contemporary art (follow the link). The Library holds special collections ranging from rare books, prints and drawing to archival material (correspondence, autographs, unpublished works by art historians, archives of art critics and institutions). Please note that the Archives de la Critique d'Art in Rennes are also part of the Library. Invited scholars are expected to take part in the research programs of the institute, to participate in the animation of the fields or to work on the special collections of its library. The invitation runs for a period of time between 1 and 3 months. Priority will be given to confirmed researchers, whether they are affiliated with an institution or independent.

Selection procedures

Proposals will be reviewed by the General Director, the Director of the Library, the Director of the Department of Studies and Research and the scientific advisers of the INHA. Following elements will especially be taken into account: expertise brought to the programs of the INHA, possibility of collaboration with the researchers of the INHA, valorization of the archives and primary resources of the library of the INHA, scientific contribution to one of the eight research areas of the INHA. The main selection criterion is excellence of the project.

INHA will cover the travel and accommodation expenses of the researcher (up to € 1300 per month) and will provide a workspace, a reserved space at the INHA library as well as access to digital and documentary resources offered by the INHA library.

Composition of the application:

• a curriculum vitae with the list of publications already published (or confirmed by the publisher)
• a research project that will specify its articulation with the field concerned
• a cover letter

Deadline for application: June 15, 2018
The results will be announced starting July 9, 2018.
